Run on B&Bs during Olympics in London

Bed & breakfast in London

Accommodations will be scarce during the Olympics.

Hotels in London are already raising their room prices for next year’s Olympic Games. Also homeowners in good locations are likely to demand higher rents. Are you planning to visit the Olympic Games? Than it’s no bad idea to already start looking for a B&B in or around London.

Next year, hotel prices may more than double or even treble from July 27 till August 12 and during the following Paralympics. One four-star London hotel, which normally charges £200 per room per night, is even asking £1,100, the Financial Times reported monday.

Sort accommodation out earlier
Not only will there be a run on hotelrooms, but private houses and apartments too – as the Olympic Games get closer. “It’s definitely worth thinking about coming over to sort accommodation out earlier”, Jane Ingram, head of Savills Plc’s rentals unit, told Bloomberg.
